Weekend Recap

I know I always end up talking about my weekend on Sunday nights but it’s almost like a way for me to decompress before I go to bed. Maybe decompressing isn’t the right word but you know what I mean. It calms me down. Anyways, Friday night was Senior night and it was just perfect. My 8th grade language arts teacher (who is pretty much my second mom), Mrs. Conklin, surprised me at the end of the day. She picked me up from school, took me out to dinner at Corner Pub & Grill, and then came back to Marquette since it was senior night. She knew how excited I was for it so it was really sweet of her to come. After the game Friday, our group came over to my house. Of course my mom was over the top per usual and we walked in and she was making hot coco because we’d “been out in the cold for too long.” I mean it definitely was sweet but nobody else’s mom did that when we went to their houses. Saturday morning I woke up at like 7 fricken am and went to a soccer game for one of my best friends sisters. It was fun watching her play because after the game, she got all excited that I was there and she even scored a goal. After soccer, I went over to Kelly’s house (my moms best friends daughter… I think I talked about her in another blog) and just hung out with her and her 19 month old son, Arthur for the day. At night, we went to Quin’s (Kelly’s boyfriend) house warming party. That was actually really fun. I love being around Quin. He’s in a band (go check out Qstreet) so he has the most fun & bizarre instruments at his house. Of course, Arthur was all over the drums in the basement!!! I spent the night at Kelly’s and Sunday morning, we met Quin at Russell’s for brunch. Then, we went back to Kelly’s house and she highlighted my hair. It actually looks pretty good! I was happy with it. Then after I left Kelly’s I came home and slept for like ever. I was exhausted. So that was my weekend…. not very exciting but hey, it’s something!
